  • MAY 2008 EVENTS:

    SPECIAL FUNDRAISING EVENT: 4th Annual SDSR Garage Sale Friday May 2nd & Saturday May 3rd - San Diego
    7 am - 3 pm, 4250 Morena Boulevard Suite F, San Diego 92117
    One man's junk is another man's treasure - come see for yourself at our hugely popular Annual Garage Sale. For two months before the event SDSR accepts donations from the public as they do their own Spring Cleaning. Treats abound among the recycled treasures here. Mark your calendar and be ready for some fabulous bargains you won't find anywhere else! Donations accepted day of sale (through noon on Saturday). Tax receipts provided.

    THE SAN DIEGO SPANIEL SOCIAL: Saturday May 3rd - Doyle Park Dog Park
    1 pm - ? pm at 8175 Regents Road
    Join fellow Cocker Spaniel enthusiasts (and their dogs!) for a leisurely get together. Our San Diego Spaniel Social happens monthly. Beginning at 1:00 pm, for about an hour, your Spaniels can mingle and romp in the enclosed safety of the fenced-in dog park located at 8175 Regents Road. This is a great opportunity to bond with your canine companion while providing socialization skills - not to mention a chance to show off the apple of your eye!     ADOPTION EVENT: Sunday May 4th - Rossmoor Family Fun Day/Dog Parade (Orange County)
    11 am - 5 pm at 3001 Blume Drive, Rush Park, Los Alamitos
    Rossmoor knows how to have fun - with lots of vendor booths, classic car show, food, stage entertainment until 8pm and carnival rides! There will be a ferris wheel, giant swing and giant slide including midway games where someone always wins a prize! The train and ponies will be there too. Eat funnel cakes, cotton candy, kettle korn or choose BBQ, tacos or hamburgers ... or eat them all! On Sunday they will have the traditional Dog Parade at 2pm and the day will end at 8pm. Stop by the SDSR rescue booth to meet some merry Cocker Spaniels and just maybe fall in love ... Pre-approved adopters can take a new family member home from these events - all other potential adopters must go through our screening process first (application form, telephone interview, home visit and reference checks).

Take a look at some of our unique doggie items, and don't forget our favorite euro sticker "Spoiled Rotten Cocker Spaniels On Board!".     Hello, East County! One of our favorite Petcos, come see us at Petco La Mesa (8501 Fletcher Parkway) from 11 am - 2 pm. Make a Spaniel smile and puruse our special goodie table of gifts. Pre-approved adopters can take a new family member home from these events - all other potential adopters must go through our screening process first (application form, telephone interview, home visit and reference checks).

    ADOPTION EVENT: CANCELLED! Saturday, May 10th - Petco/La Costa
    11 am - 2 pm at 3239 Camino De Los Coches
    The Spaniels visit North County at this popular adoption spot. Visit us at Petco La Costa (3239 Camino De Los Coches, Carlsbad) from 11 am - 2 pm. Play with a Spaniel and meet your new best Friend or just contribute to our donation jar, to help more deserving Spaniels find their future homes. Pre-approved adopters can take a new family member home from these events - all other potential adopters must go through our screening process first (application form, telephone interview, home visit and reference checks).

    Orange County, here we come! San Diego Spaniel Rescue represents Orange County Cocker Spaniels, too. We'll be there with some of our adoptable Spaniels at 25592 El Paseo from 11 am - 2 pm.     San Diego Spaniel Rescue has been honored with an invitation to attend our 5th annual San Diego County Fair. On opening day, stop by the Wyland Center and meet some merry Cocker Spaniels, ready to charm you with long ears, big eyes and the never ending "wiggle butts". Look for our red/white/blue sequin backdrop and come meet us!     One of our favorite OC Shelters has asked us to be a part of their second annual adoption event. More info as the date gets closer, there are sure to be a lot of great dogs of all breeds at this Super Adoption Day.
