an Email from Chanel (Sophie)

Hi, FM!

My new Daddies wanted me to write you a letter, just to let you know -- just like you told me, I found my "Forever Family". Yes I don't just live in a house, I have my home and my very own family. My sister is great and we get along super. She even plays with me, and runs in the yard. It's so big, I've got lots of places to investigate. But sometimes I have to cut it short, because I'm not allow outside alone and when Dad has had enough I have to go in. I even come when he calls now (most of the times). The back yard is something else, but I'm not allowed around the pool. But Coco tells me they plan to teach me how to swim this summer when the heater is on, it's too cold now.

I've got lots of toys and get the run of the house. Sometimes my Dad, Coco and I fall asleep in the big french chair in the family room watching TV. I've been to the groomer two times already, they said I did real good. Coco said we go every other Friday (so we get to go again this week), and we always will go together and we always come out really looking good. My Daddy tells me that too. I get brushed very day and they clean our paws if we get wet when we come in. We roll on our backs and get tummy rubs at the same time.

I got my ears checked again and they look good, Dad's trying that Blue Stuff you told him about. I get to go to the eye doctor next week to have my eyes checked. Sometimes I run into things I didn't know were that close to me. And the Vet told us that something is happening to my other eye, but it's OK he thinks. But just to make sure we're going to a specialist to check them out. Dad said not to worry, everything is going to be OK.

I got my chip registered the other week and Coco got hers put in. We drove to the shelter the other day to have them read mine (just to make sure it was in and readable). We also got to go on a short trip, and spent the night in a hotel room. That was fun, I got a new collar with my name and phone number on it. And when we go for walks they put a neat collar that doesn't pull my neck, just my chest area -- it feels good.

That's about it, my Daddies said the adoption is completed, NOT PENDING any more. I'm here for life, he said he's thankful that you found me and took care of me. But now I'm home for good and they are going to take care of me forever. They said whatever it takes, I don't know what that means, but it must be good .. Just wanted you to know that it really fills good to be wanted and loved. You take care and thanks again for everything you did for me.
